No, going paperless with Nationwide is free.

Will I be notified when new home and auto insurance policy documents are available?

Yes. As long as you’ve provided us with a valid email address, you'll get an email notification when new policy documents such as ID cards, declarations pages and other notifications are available online.

How will I remember to pay my bill if I go paperless?

For home and auto insurance, when you sign up for paperless billing you can choose to receive an email reminder 3 days before your bill is due. Nationwide also offers recurring payment options to automatically debit your bank account or bank card.

Note: You will not receive an email reminder if you sign up for recurring payments; however, you will get a draft email reminder.

How will I know my payment was processed?

For home and auto insurance, we’ll email you an electronic receipt each time you make a payment.

Can I update my paperless preferences and go back to paper?

You can always switch back to paper statements and/or billing if you change your mind. Follow these steps to change your paperless preferences:

Can I sign up for paperless delivery later?

Yes. Sign up whenever you like.

What about my Nationwide investments, such as annuity, life insurance or retirement plan accounts?

If you have a Nationwide annuity, life insurance policy or a retirement account, you may be able to receive certain notices from us electronically. For most types of financial accounts, we are able to send an email when your documents are available online.

Are all of my accounts and policies eligible for paperless?

We're continually working to offer you more document delivery options. Unfortunately, not all accounts and policies are available for electronic document delivery at this time. For any ineligible accounts, you'll continue to receive your policy, billing and account statements by mail.

Do I need any special software to access my documents online?

You'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view files in PDF format. You may already have the software on your computer. If not, you can download a free copy at the Adobe website.
